Who I am
I welcome changes in life, even major ones, even though they can be a huge challenge.
Personal development is something very close to my heart.
Communication, both internally and externally, has always led me to well-considered choices and meaningful life decisions. That is my passion: communication as a means of making so many things possible.
Views from different angles, as well as a meta-level analysis clarify the connections and interactions that have brought us to where we are today. Realising that so much depends on our own decisions helps us to set out on the right path. Many paths lie open to us: nothing is fixed, many options are possible, and we can make adjustments at any time.
The limited nature of life is a reality we cannot ignore. This fact has become crystal clear to me time and again through my work supporting people as they prepare for their final chapter, and it has fundamentally changed my outlook on life.
We only have this one shot. It is this belief that has turned me into an understanding driving force. Certainly for myself, and gladly also for anyone who is tired of sticking to the same old routine and would rather explore new territory.
Take heart! Breaking free from resistance and rigid structures might be painful, but it’s followed by a creative and dynamic phase of shaping and putting things into practice. Something new, meaningful and resilient can emerge – and that’s what we all want, isn’t it?
!Carpe Diem!
What makes me suitable for my work:
My studies in linguistics and various languages have made me a language and communication specialist.
Beyond that, I have been continuously developing my skills in the fields of communication, mediation, mental training and conflict resolution for many years.
At every stage of my professional life, effective, goal-oriented communication has made all the difference. Impulsive and emotionally charged communication, on the other hand, has made many things more difficult.
This insight applies equally to my private life.
Studying Spiral Dynamics, as developed by Prof. W. Clare Graves, has shown me even more clearly why every person and every system prioritises different values. This understanding helps me and my clients to communicate more effectively and purposefully, and to deal with differences more calmly.
Education and professional development:
- Technical training in building construction; a degree in natural sciences from Justus Liebig University in Giessen; and a degree in environmental science from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland
- Degree in linguistics and translation from Humboldt University in Berlin
- Training as a supervisor at the Academy for Individual Development
- Mediation, conflict counselling and mental training at the Vienna Business Academy
- Life Trust Coaching training (in accordance with the EASC quality standard) in Germany
- Training as a ‘Value Match Practitioner’ at the Value Match Academy, Utrecht
- Training as a psychosocial counsellor in Austria
- A wealth of life experience
A little something personal:
- I prefer reading paper books.
- I’ve already filled many notebooks with my life experiences and my thoughts on them.
- The woods and the garden are my second home.
- Comfort zones make me sceptical, to say the least.
- I am convinced that human potential extends far beyond what we utilise in our daily lives.
